100 – Hour Certificate Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students

M.P.Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore is conducting a 100 – Hour Certificate Course in Astronomy and Astrophysics for undergraduate and post graduate students during the months of August to December 2008. Topics covered will include the Sun, solar system, stars, Milky Way galaxy, other galaxies, space astronomy, astrobiology, cosmology and much more.

This course is open to students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. level with Physics as their main subject as well as to all engineering students (studying or completed B.E. / B.Tech. level and above) having an aptitude for Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Classes will begin on Saturday, 02 August 2008 and thereafter will be held on every Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

In an increasingly knowledge-driven economy there is a greater focus on stimulating innovation and improving technology across different sectors, with object of acquiring essential IP assets. Ms. Singh closely worked with Technologists to Develop Patenting Strategies and has Conducted IP Training for Technologists and Agents and Analysts. She has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patents for various jurisdictions, and has dealt with the Indian Patent Office as well. Further she is in an advisory capacity in many IP and scientific forums.
